Reduced Fee Zone Visits
Our Reduced Fee Zone Visit scheme has been running since the 1st of November 2021 and is a great way to get the routine, preventative healthcare that your horse needs.
How does it work?
You will need to establish which zone your location falls into using the map on this page. Once you have done this you can check below to see which days of the month we will be operating a zone visit in your area. Unfortunately, we do not offer a reduced fee zone day to the areas covered in grey hatchmarks.
Zone A – every Monday
Zone B – every Tuesday
Zone C – the 1st and 3rd Wednesday every month
Zone D – the 2nd and 4th Wednesday every month
Zone E – the 1st and 3rd Thursday every month
Zone F – the 2nd and 4th Thursday every month
Zone G – the 2nd and 3rd Friday every month
You can call our reception team and book a zone visit for selected reasons up until mid-day the day before the zone visit. The above days may be subject to bank holiday changes, which can be discussed with our reception team when you call to book on. We will contact you on the afternoon before the zone visit day to let you know whether the appointment will be in the morning or afternoon and ask for payment for the appointment during this call. The vet on zones will also give you a notice call on the day of the appointment. Please be aware you will not be able to book specific times for a zone visit as this depends on the best route for our vets on the day.
What is the fee for this?
There is a flat call out fee of £12.00 including VAT if you book a zone day visit. If there are multiple clients on one yard, each will pay the £12 fee up to five horses, when the collective free visit will become applicable.
All treatments and medicines are additional to this call out charge and must be paid for before the day that the appointment takes place.
What services are available on a zone visit?
Zone visits are meant for routine treatments only. They are not available for emergencies, vettings, complex treatments or treatments that have to be scheduled at a specific time point (such as bandage changes). Routine services include:
- Vaccinations
- Initial examinations
- Mark up and Microchip
- Blood Sampling
- Prescription checks
- General health check up
You can also combine your Equine Health Plan services with a zone visit.
