Getting to Know Claire Sutcliffe

Getting to know the Hambleton Team!

This time we have Claire Sutcliffe who joined our wonderful reception team back in June 2020. Many of you will have heard her voice on the phone but may not have met her so let's dive in...

Q: What is your favourite thing about working at HEC? A: It is a big wheel and we all work together to keep it turning!

Q: Describe HEC in 3 words. A: Industrious, compassionate, professional.

Q: What is a typical day on reception like for you? A: At the start of the day, the reception team pick up the phones from the On-Call Vet and from that moment on it's all systems GO! Whether we're answering calls and emails, booking appointments, managing diaries or handling paperwork, there is never a dull moment.

Q: What do you like to do when you're not at work? In my spare time I like to run and spend time with my two grandchildren, Rory and Olivia.

Q: Can you tell us about your horsey background? A: I have been actively involved in Pony Club all my life. Firstly as a child, then with my own children and I hope to carry this on with my Grandchildren. My family and I have always been keen racing enthusiasts too; my father trained, I rode and trained point to pointers. I currently take part in Dressage, Eventing and Trial Hunting.

Q: Do you have any interesting talents? A: Drinking Champagne and Dancing on Tables!
