We have an opportunity for an experienced full-time equine veterinary surgeon MRCVS from July 1st2021. The ideal candidate would hold an AVP certificate and have experience in reproduction and racing work. The caseload will be variable but includes reproduction and stud work, sports horse and racing work as well as orthopaedics and internal medicine. This is a unique opportunity to work with an exceptional experienced team with a large knowledge base. You will take an equal share in the out of hours on call rota which is currently set at one week night every other week and one weekend in six with one bank holiday every year.
We offer a full service including ambulatory, diagnostic and surgical services based at our busy equine clinic in Great Ayton. Our facilities include overground endoscopy, MRI, scintigraphy, standing surgery, theatre, intensive care and in-patient facilities. Our caseload covers pleasure and leisure, performance and sports horses along with racing and stud work.

We are currently looking for enthusiastic and diligent people to work within our team of yard staff. Hours are 07:00 to 11:30 on weekday mornings except Wednesday, or 15:00-19:00 on weekday evenings. We are looking to cover all of these shifts with two people so we may be able to mix and match these days. We expect that you would be flexible enough to help cover holidays and absences for other members of the team. We are looking for a capable team player with a working knowledge of equine care and biosecurity who can contribute to patient care at our busy clinic. You will need to be good at working at a high pace and be capable of mucking out a large number of boxes on each shift, grooming, feeding and all aspects of yard maintenance.
