A Leading Equine Veterinary Practice based in North Yorkshire.
We initially began as an ambulatory-only equine practice in October 2012. Our ambition has always been to make Hambleton Equine Clinic the premier specialist equine practice in the North East, and we recognised the need for such a practice in the area. Since then it has grown to a thirteen-vet equine-only practice, with a large support team.
In January 2016, we opened our new state-of-the-art purpose built equine hospital here at The Paddocks, Stanley Grange. We are committed to providing the best care possible for your horse and we are constantly investing in the latest equipment and specialists to bring you the highest quality of veterinary care available.
Our Site
Upstairs, we have storage and office space, our laboratory, our staff kitchen and our on-site accommodation. This is where our interns will reside in instances of any high-dependency cases that need monitoring through the night.
Downstairs, our friendly reception team will get you signed in so the vets and nurses know you’ve arrived. The reception area is accessed up our wheelchair-friendly ramp and if needed, you can find our disabled-accessible toilet facilities through reception.
Outside, we have a lameness area comprised of hard and soft lunging spaces and a fifty metre trot up track, as well as the horse access to our MRI unit. For our lower-dependency inpatients and any day patients that may be visiting HEC for more routine procedures, we have a beautifully maintained stable yard made up of spacious Monarch stables, where horses are supervised by our knowledgeable and friendly grooms and nurses.
Our site is monitored by CCTV.
Our Commitment
From elite competing racehorses and eventers, to leisure horses and retired companion animals, we wholeheartedly commit to providing the best possible service to every horse, pony or donkey in our care.
We aim to provide a full range of equine services to the professional and recreational owner across the North East, maintaining the highest standard of care for every horse.
Operating from a state of the art clinic
We operate from a purpose-built clinic boasting state of the art diagnostic, clinical and in-patient facilities, enabling our team of specialist vets, surgeons, nurses and support staff to provide dedicated care for all patients throughout their lives. Whether it be routine ambulatory care, diagnostic tests and imaging, reproductive and stud work or full general anaesthetic surgery, Hambleton Equine Clinic is uniquely placed to treat all manner of cases. We also take on referrals for specialist treatment from other veterinary clinics working in conjunction with respected professionals throughout the surrounding regions.
